Here is the new cover for AA II

I saw it on Amazon a few minutes ago. I am not sure what to think.

  1. I'm not sure what to think. AA has always seemed more or less suburbia or rural, not skyscraper city.

  2. Curious: don't you have creative control over such things as the cover artwork?

  3. Still here. Enjoying the story. Where does Wastelands go in the order of AA?

  4. I know NMD. Me too.

Do I have creative control? No.
I have to be consulted. That is it.

I am nobody. I have never sold a fiction novel through a publisher. Zero. I am self-published which even worse. I did ask that they put a crow in their somewhere.

Keep in mind that the cover is designed to sell the book and the publisher goes with what they think will work.

    Wastelands is AA II.

  5. It's not as good as the artwork for AA - The Collapse, but it's not terrible. Since it's a sequel, I'd guess most people will have read AAI and won't give much thought to the cover.

  6. Duh......I should have read the post title. Keep up the good work. I had a question about the Germans use of bicycles I wanted to ask.

  7. I agree that a cityscape is an odd choice considering the story takes place in rural or small town...

  8. Nova, as long as they send you a check for your cut of the millions of books sold... ;)

  10. Well, the empty cities are implied in AAII so it's ok

  11. Interesting, if I was being kind I would refer to it as the Walmart edition. Your covers are so much better. They seemed really basic but intriguing at first and somewhat reminiscent of the O'Reilly technical book series. To me, your covers have established a branded look and feel for the series that are quickly distinguishable from other random PA pulp.
